On 9 June, we had our first Faculty Meeting under the new University of Sydney (Governance of Faculties and University Schools) Rule 2016. Strategic Education Grants

Expressions of interest forms for Faculty approval

All those interested in applying for a Strategic Education Grant must speak with the Education Design Manager, Susan Atkinson, and get the approval not only of their Head of School but also the Dean before starting their online application. To assist with this process, the Faculty has created a series of internal EOI forms to submit to the Faculty for approval. There are five forms (one for each type of grant). More...

What is Interdisciplinary learning?

This workshop session will provide participants with a working understanding of how interdisciplinary and disciplinary learning interact and the meaning of interdisciplinary learning. The session will discuss the pilot unit of study that is currently being designed for piloting for Semester 1 and 2 in 2019 (Interdisciplinary Impact). The session will then examine some of the distinctive features of the FASS approach.

Colleagues with an interest in the development of this unit or who may wish to offer advice on the development of the unit are invited to attend and contribute their ideas to the ongoing design of this unit of study and interdisciplinary learning in FASS.
