How to borrow AV equipment

You can borrow audio visual (AV) equipment - at no cost from Information and Communications Technology - for use in University spaces. All loans are subject to availability of the item you want to borrow.

Loan terms are determined by demand for the item and will be discussed when your request is received. Equipment loan periods must be reasonable to support an equitable University-wide service.

The available equipment includes:

  • Portable data projectors with input cables
  • Portable projection screens
  • Portable public address (PA) systems
  • Portable audio recorders
  • Microphones suitable for panel discussions or Q&A sessions
  • Wireless handheld and lapel microphones
  • Laptop dongles
  • Wireless clickers.

Connect to University guest wi-fi network (Windows)

The University’s wireless network can be used by visitors of the University as long as they get authorisation in advance. Called UniSydney-Guest, the guest wireless network is available wherever there is wireless coverage on campus.
