Research periods and census dates. The HDR academic year is made up of four research periods each with fixed dates regardless of the calendar year or day of the week. The Equivalent Full-Time Student Load (EFTSL) of each research period varies. A full-time student load of one year is equal to 1.0  EFTSL. You can review research periods and census dates here.
