Ordering scheduled drugs from MyLab

 

For Schedule 2, 3 and 4 drugs, please follow the appropriate guide below. Type In orders for these drugs can be processed at the same time as Type In orders for high risk drugs.

 

High risk scheduled drugs: Schedule 4D, Schedule 8 and Schedule 9, require extra documents and approvals.

For an S4D, S8 or S9 order to be processed the Authority Holder/Responsible Drugs Overseer will need an entry in the High Risk Drug Databank, which provides High Risk Approvers and the MyLab team access to your:

  • NSW Authority to Possess S8 or S9 drugs
  • High Risk and Restricted Chemicals Risk Assessment & Approval (HIRAC) form
  • Safe Work Procedure (SWP)
  • Authorised user list

 

Refer to the scheduled drugs management intranet page for the steps to complete prior to placing an order and links to templates (e.g. HIRAC and SWP) and guides.

Ensure you have organised a drug register, secure storage and a restricted virtual space in MyLab for your high risk items prior to placing any orders. Drugs must be safely transported to their storage location when you collect your order.

How to add additional activities (scheduled, unscheduled and sub-activities)

The below process is used for adding:

  • Scheduled activities not listed in the timetable to a date/time and number of weeks, e.g. required meeting.
  • Unscheduled activities that are non-timetabled activity hours to the semester or weeks, e.g. marking. This also includes the use of flex time.
  • Sub-activities to include staff members attending lectures, tutorials etc.

Responsibilities

The OTA Allocator role is responsible for:

  1. Monitoring allocation progress and class coverage 
  2. Ensuring allocations in OTA are updated in line with academic decision maker updates, including associated paycodes
  3. Communicating timings and deadlines to academic decision makers

Please review and action these rules, noting that the vast majority of casual professional employment falls within the 3-hour minimum engagement requirements. EA compliance is a University-wide requirement. We all need to work together to implement consistent and effective controls to ensure we meet our obligations.

Opting out of lecture recordings at the University

Lectures and seminars scheduled in rooms equipped with recording capability will automatically be recorded and the recordings will be added to the unit of study website on the LMS unless an opt-out has been authorised.

Staff who wish to opt out of having their lectures automatically recorded need to seek approval from their Dean or, in some instances, their Head of School.
