We study life and the environments that support living organisms. We tackle challenging global problems of food security, animal and human disease, and conservation. We generate new knowledge about the diversity, function and health of living systems from the molecular to the ecosystem scale. Our research investigates the driving forces behind change such as evolution, behaviour and molecular interactions as well as the direct impact of human activities.
The School of Physics at the University of Sydney is the leading physics department in the country, with outstanding staff and students undertaking world-leading teaching and research.
