Request New Domain / Subdomain

Requests for new domains and subdomains go through Marketing and Communications to ensure:

  • consistency with existing websites, for example for facility management services for core research facilities, using ‘fms’ as an acronym consistently for all core research facility subdomains.
  • fit within the University's brand and editorial style (for example, using timetables.sydney.edu.au instead of ttables.sydney.edu.au).
  • are appropriate for the content of the website. For example, events.sydney.edu.au would not be used for a faculty-specific event calendar, but could be used for University-wide events.
