Carillon Tour
Get a behind-the-scenes tour of the historic Quadrangle Carillon! Join Titus Grenyer, our University Carillonist, who will take you behind the scenes to discover the instrument’s remarkable history and give you a glimpse of the 54 bells that occupy the Clocktower.

On technology and democracy, and the ways our experiences are mediated, online and offline. Can we agree on a shared reality without it collapsing into political theatre? Hear from digital platforms researcher Joanne Gray, and one of Australia’s foremost social trends researchers, Rebecca Huntley. Hosted by Fenella Kernebone, cultural curator, speaker and presenter.
ANZAC Day Dawn Service 2026
This traditional dawn service, supported by the University of Sydney Regiment, is open to all and offers an opportunity to honour the ANZACs and reflect on the many different meanings of war.
Updates and services
Service disruption – University websites
Some staff and students may be unable to access University websites (including sydney.edu.au) when using the Vodafone network. ICT has confirmed this is an issue with Vodafone. The impact includes Vodafone and related carriers: felix, iiNet, Kogan, Lebara, Lyca and TPG. ICT is currently working with Vodafone support to restore service.
The Student Centre on Level 3 of the Jane Foss Russell (JFR) Building is closed until late June
Students can get in touch with the Student Centre online and via phone. At Level 1, Belinda Hutchinson Building students can collect student ID cards and testamurs, and get dictionary and calculator approvals. Other study-related support is available at Level 3, Fisher Library.
Support for those affected by escalating conflict in the Middle East
We're deeply concerned to see conflict escalate in Iran and the Middle East. We know this is a deeply worrying time for many and are here to support all affected staff and students. Please take care of your own wellbeing, check in on colleagues who may be finding this time particularly challenging, and continue to look out for one another during what is a distressing time for many. Wellbeing support is available for all staff, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, through our staff counselling and coaching provider, Converge.
