National Reconciliation Week 2025 (27 May to 3 June) is just around the corner, and we’re excited to offer our staff a unique opportunity to experience the Tribal Warrior Cruise, exploring Sydney Harbour through the eyes of its original custodians. This experience will connect you to some of the traditions and practices that Aboriginal communities have kept alive for thousands of years.
Reconciliation is not momentary, but a march forward. Together our nation has made great strides towards a more united future, but we have also faced and continue to face setbacks. This year's theme 'Bridging Now to Next' reflects the ongoing connection between past, present and future. It calls on all Australians to unite and move forward together, guided by the lessons of history.
Here in FMH, we’re excited to work together with you to ensure FMH is a safe place for all, where our education and teaching reflects our First Cultures as well as our newer cultures, and our staff and students are supported to bring their whole selves to our campuses.

This session will feature insights from legal and academic experts and offer practical strategies for managing conflicts with integrity. Whether you're new to these issues or experienced in navigating them, this is a valuable opportunity to reflect, discuss, and build confidence in applying institutional policy and professional judgement.

With the exam period coming up, teaching staff can refer students to the Preparing for Exams workshop on 28 May run by the Learning Hub.
