I joined FASS as the new Deputy Dean back in April. Since then, I have been busy learning about the faculty and getting to know staff across all six of our schools. I’ve been struck by the sheer breadth and depth of disciplines we have within FASS and the quality and quantity of the research that our staff produce. Read more.

New Partnership Hub

Western Sahara and the struggle for human rights today

Join us to hear Mohamed Mayara, journalist, human rights defender, unionist, and advocate for the decolonisation of Western Sahara after a screening of his short film '3 Stolen Cameras', and in discussion with guest panellists including Chair of Aboriginal Education and Indigenous Studies, Associate Professor Lynette Riley, Wiradjuri, Gamilaroi.

Next year will mark 100 years of the Physics Building at the University of Sydney. Feeling ill? Recover at home!

With winter colds and cases of the flu and COVID-19 on the rise, it's important to keep yourself and your colleagues safe. If you feel unwell or are displaying any symptoms related to a cold or flu, respiratory type illnesses or other illnesses, take personal leave and recover at home. Don't forget that casuals are able to access five days special leave to cover sickness or caring responsibilities as part of the 2023–26 Enterprise Agreement.

Upgrade to SEAMS

The new Sydney eLearning Account Management System (SEAMS 2) will replace SEAMS 1 on 5 June to help prepare for the start of Semester 2 and improve administrative efficiency. 

We acknowledge the tradition of custodianship and law of the Country on which the University of Sydney campuses stand. We pay our respects to those who have cared and continue to care for Country.
