We study life and the environments that support living organisms. We tackle challenging global problems of food security, animal and human disease, and conservation. We generate new knowledge about the diversity, function and health of living systems from the molecular to the ecosystem scale. Our research investigates the driving forces behind change such as evolution, behaviour and molecular interactions as well as the direct impact of human activities.
The main objective of the Business and Labour History Group is to promote historical research and teaching within the University of Sydney Business School. The group organises seminars and conferences on historical themes in the areas of accounting history, business history, economic history and labour history. It also runs research projects on a variety of themes. Since 1986 it has also been the home of the journal Labour History, which is part of the History Co-operative at the University of Illinois Press. The group receives funding from the University of Sydney Business School and the Australian Society for the Study of Labour History (ASSLH).
