Sydney Curriculum system

Sydney Curriculum is our institution-wide curriculum system used for the creation of unit of study outlines.

It allows greater institutional visibility and a common approach to designing, mapping, managing, and publishing unit of study content on the Find a unit of study website.

Benefits of the system

  • generation of online unit of study content as part of the University handbook with detailed unit outlines published two weeks before teaching. This also provides access to historical unit outlines.
  • integration with special consideration, disability services and exam systems and alignment with downstream processes
  • detailed curriculum reporting via the Sydney Curriculum Reporting dashboard

Faculty and University school experts

In-depth training is available to any faculty and University school staff who are to be the local points of contact for system users. Trained curriculum staff - known as faculty experts - assist in training other relevant staff in their schools and faculties with support from the Curriculum and Policy team within the Division of the Academic Registrar.

Faculty experts are coordinated by faculty superusers who are nominated by the faculty or University school Head of Education. A list of faculty experts and faculty superuers can be found here.

Training and resources

The system is simple to navigate. We've included guides where additional support is required in Sydney Curriculum, and these are also available on the Sydney Curriculum System Resources Canvas site.
