Progression

Faculty Services, Division of the Academic Registrar, monitor students' progression through their program in the context of the Coursework Policy 2021.

This includes identifying progression exceptions by managing student records for outstanding results and WAM requirements for degrees where a particular level of achievement is required for progression into senior or honours years.

What’s our role?

  • Perform “Check and Confirm” actions in Sydney Student against University/faculty/course progression rules and progression exceptions (Stage 1 and 2)
  • Liaise with student support services e.g. about the status of a student on a stage
  • Reflect outcomes on the student record where the faculty has determined that the student has not shown good cause
  • Communicate with the student including responding to any Tier 2 enquiries
  • Provision of Tier 1 pastoral care for students in distress
  • Apply non system enforced progression rules after progression runs
  • Agree failed progression outcome, undo student’s progression outcome, re-calculate progression, review progression report, confirm stage decisions or stage reversions
