Credit

The Division of the Academic Registrar receives and processes credit, or recognition of prior learning, applications when a current or prospective student wishes to have prior learning counted towards the completion of an award course at the University of Sydney.

The credit assessment process is based on credit rules sourced from the Coursework Policy, Faculty Resolutions and course resolutions, and developed through previous academic decisions by faculties, or if no rules exist, by seeking academic advice from the relevant academic coordinators.

The credit processing service we provide includes:

  • receiving and processing credit applications, prior to or after enrolment
  • recording decisions in Sydney Student
  • advising students of outcomes
  • updating diets in Sydney Student
  • maintaining the database of credit rules with relevant academic coordinators.
