Sonia (placement management system)

Sonia is our placement management software. It is a single large institute-wide database, functionally, divided into multiple (largely) discipline-specific Instances.

Sonia Client

Sonia Client is an app that staff install on their local computer/laptop to manage placements, allocations and communications with stakeholders. It provides access to:

one (or more) specific Instances aligned to a staff members' role at the University, and
a large range of current historical information about all placement sites, Sonia supervisors, and students.

Sonia Online

The Sonia Online website is used by students, Sonia site contacts, and Sonia supervisors to access limited information related only to their target placement/s.

Sonia Check Manager

The Sonia Check Manager website is used by some staff to manage Sonia Checks, for example, Student National Criminal Record Checks and immunisation requirements.
