The processes for making a report of student misconduct are outlined on the Student Website.
Where the misconduct is of such seriousness and/or endangers any member of the University community, the Academic Registrar may take immediate action to intervene, in accordance with Part 6 of the University of Sydney (Student Discipline) Rule 2016.
In cases where a student’s conduct could reasonably be said to be impairing the freedom of others to pursue their studies, research or work in the University, a staff member (or affiliate) may require a student to temporarily leave a class, a building, or a specified part of University lands.
The Academic Integrity Procedures 2022 provide a step-by-step approach for staff who suspect that a student or students has engaged in possible academic dishonesty.
Academic dishonesty and plagiarism is also defined and explained on the Student Website.
